In a true “serpent eating its own tail” moment, Limited Run is producing a boxed copy of Doom + Doom 2 with packaging that is capable of playing Doom - a Doomourobouros if you will. The aptly-named Will it Run Edition of Doom + Doom 2 is currently available to pre-order from Limited Run for $666.66 for either PC or Switch. Pre-orders for the unhinged box set will only be available through May 18 and limited to just 666 units, but wont ship until Feb. 20, 2026 at the earliest.

While Limited Run hasnt shown gameplay of the Will it Run Edition box in action, conceptual renders show what looks like a small LCD screen under the front cover with some rudimentary controls. This edition of Doom + Doom 2 naturally comes packaged with a copy of the game for your chosen console or a Steam code for PC. If a box that played Doom wasnt enough for you, the Will it Run Edition also features a Tamogotchi-style Cacodemon, which also plays Doom, and a floating magnetic figurine of Dooms own Killer Tomato.
Other collectibles featured in the Will it Run Edition also include a four-cassette tape soundtrack, which includes the entire soundtrack for both games and the remake soundtrack, IDKFA, produced by Andrew Hulshult. As well as a pack of five trading cards featuring classic baddies from the Doom franchise.
