CD Projekt has officially settled the lawsuit filed by its investors following Cyberpunk 2077s botched launch.

In the regulatory announcement reporting the news, the company said $1.85 million will be paid to the investors behind the class-action lawsuit in exchange for them relinquishing "all claims against the company and members of its management board."

The announcement also explained the reasons behind the settlement, with CD Projekt saying it was motivated by the "duration and costs related to further legal proceedings in the US," as well as the "opinion expressed by the US law firm representing the company and the other defendants named in the case recommending acceptance of the agreement," among others.

It mentioned that such litigations are usually settled outside of court anyway.

The settlement is expected to come to a conclusion within "several months," the announcement added.

CD Projekt had announced just last week that it was entering settlement talks with investors regarding the class-action lawsuit.

The investors were claiming that the studios management failed to disclose that Cyberpunk 2077 was "virtually unplayable" on consoles at launch "due to an enormous number of bugs."
