Blizzard president J. Allen Brack is leaving the firm after 15 years to "pursue new opportunities" according to Activision.

Executive vice presidents Jen Oneal and Mike Ybarra have been appointed as co-leaders of the company, effective immediately.

Brack joined the company in 2006 to work on World of Warcraft. In 2014, he was appointed executive producer and vice president of the franchise, and in 2018, he succeeded Mike Morhaime as president of Blizzard.

His departure follows the emergence of a lawsuit filed by California Department of Fair Employment and Housing lawsuit alleging harassment and discrimination of women at Activision Blizzard.

In a memo sent to staff, Brack acknowledged the "extremely troubling" hurt of current and former employees, and called the behaviour detailed in the lawsuit "completely unacceptable."
